The App looks good and is intuitive and easy to use. Anyone who owns a iPhone or iPad will know how to navigate the information. The initial screen has a button to refresh the data so it is always up-to-date. The data is dynamically downloaded from a remote server by clicking on the load icon. This means that the information can be kept up-to-date on a daily basis.
A. Click on Continue and it loads a page which maps rental properties in Kalkan.
Alternatively if the user knows the name of the property they are interested in there is an alphabetical listing accessed by pressing the button. The map can be viewed in standard or satellite mode and the user can of course zoom-in to a particular area through the usual iPhone method or by clicking a button at the top of the screen for particular areas.
B. Press on one of the drop-pins and the name and location of the property is displayed
C. Press the button on the Reveal Box and you are taken to the property information screen.
I have placed a text label to the bottom of the screenshot to show what the different buttons do
D. The alternate method of displaying available rental properties is by choosing ‘Listing A - Z’
This provides a full list of all the villas in alphabetical order.
E. Facilities Indicator Bar
This is located to the top of the screen under the name of the property in the form of icons representing from left to right, number of bedrooms, location, number of persons which can be accommodated, number of bathrooms/showers, distance to beach/town, price range, swimming pool, wi-fi.
Menu bar functions (left to right)
a. Phone rental property owner
On pressing the button an alert button is displayed asking if the user really does want to make a call. If yes then the phone is displayed.
b. Send Email
The email text is pre formatted with name of enquirer, dates required, number of nights, and a contact number.
c. View Owners web page.
Many property owners also have their own web page with additional information and photographs. This button links to that page. If you do not have your own web then an alert box will be displayed. The webpage is displayed within the App and therefore provides smooth continuity - note the ‘back’ button at the top left of the screen which takes the user back to the previous screen.
e. View image page.
Again, this links to your image gallery on your own webpage.
Kalkan Information Pages
The App also provides information about the town and the facilities and can be useful for locating banks, ATMs, supermarkets etc. using the built-in GPS functions of the iPhone / iPad.
